FACT - Over the years Tony Wu has been on the West Covina City Council, there have been several instances of Tony Wu's misconduct that have resulted in investigations. Currently, there are two known investigations that are either underway or that have been completed with no release of the results.
One of the investigations was from an incident at a "Badge Pinning Ceremony" for the Fire Department. The incident occurred between Tony Wu and Fire Chief Vincent Capelle. In city documents released to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the incident took place on August 6, 2022 at fire station 2 in the City of West Covina. In the memo to the Human Resources Director, Tony Wu is accused of pointing his finger at Fire Chief Capelle and then shouting "DON'T YOU EVER F**KING DISRESPECT ME AGAIN" and took place in the presence of "multiple people" including many fire personal and the Fire Chief's wife.
We are aware of another investigation being conducted by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department whereas Tony Wu threatened City Manager David Carmany during a meeting to discuss the "Seritage Plaza West" preliminary site plan on March 29, 2022, Tony Wu told City Manager Carmany "I'm going to punch you in the face."
The public is still awaiting the results of these investigations.

Around the end of 2019 the City of West Covina started negotiating the sale of the BKK Landfill which is widely known to have been used as a toxic waste landfill in the 1950's and 1960's. Tony Wu has stated for several years that he wants to build hotels in the City of West Covina and ironically the company that was looking to purchase the land at BKK, was proposing to build a 200+ room hotel along with a horse racing track for training, among other things.
Tony Wu has stated many times that he feels that the land belonging to the BKK Toxic Waste Landfill was ready to be developed. According to federal and state regulators, that is not the case. This battle has been ongoing for years.
Regulators have been very concerned that any intensive development would possibly cause a health crisis to the residents around the BKK site.
FACT - In August of 2019, the first article about Tony Wu conduction official city meetings outside City Hall was written in response to a Facebook post made by Tony Wu showing a number of people meeting with him, another council member and the city manager at his real estate office in Temple City.
